The special thing about this edition: Each gin bottle has a digital twin in the blockchain. For this purpose, the newly designed label was equipped with an NFC chip, which was encrypted and linked to a token entered on the blockchain, an NFT (Non Fungible Token). NFTs are inherently immutable, unique, and tamper-proof.

The physical bottle is made by the incorporated chip inseparably linked to the digital twin and is therefore also considered to be forgery-proof. If a buyer holds a smartphone to the label on the bottle, the bottle opens authenticity verification as well as more precise Product Information for more transparency.

In addition, the exclusive NFGin community benefits such as discounts on products attending Actions or sweepstakes, invitations to events and tastings, exclusive access to merchandise and Right of co-determination in production decisions. Although acerola is a tropical plant, it was important to us to source it in organic quality. All other ingredients like the botanicals are from regional cultivation. The gin is made by hand in Vienna, which is also responsible for the limited edition.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

We also chose the most environmentally friendly variant for our digital twin and mined the NFTs on the energy-efficient Polygon platform.
